Kelli Dunham: Press

"...changing the world, one yuk at a time...."
Thanks again for coming to Widener University’s campus... The performance was great. The students talked about it afterwards and were really impressed. I liked how you mixed your own material in with topics we’d discussed at dinner moments before. You have the rare talent of being able to make ordinary life funny! ...The number of people in attendance was among the highest we have ever had for any of our performance and lecture series events. Considering the topic, that really says something!

"brazenly talented... Her reading about the death of her partner which while surprisingly comical, remained remarkably poignant without sinking into schmaltz. That's a tough balancing act that she executed brilliantly."
"....Charming as hell...very cute."
"Get her CD, go to her shows, and become a stalking fan. This ex-nun is hilarious"
- Just Out (Nov 15, 2006)
"...more rock concert than comedy show..."

It's a whole synopsis of Kelli's life as examined through her own comedic lens. Well, kind of. Just read it.

Kelli Dunham’s BAD HABITS (Lesbian Nun Tells All) is chock-full of witty lines about her experiences as a Mission of Charity nun..her material is compelling, and her writing is often hilarious. I was captivated by the story and Dunham’s writing."

Fresh stuff - I mean, a houseboat-dwelling ex nun? Ya just can't make that up.

Three queers for Sister Mary Bulldyke. She's funny, for-real and slips in messages with a conscience without you ever knwowing. More Kelli. More.
[Kelli's humor is] a blend of biting social commentary and loving wit...

Reviewer:
Kelli's insights and humor are a breath of fresh air! I put this CD on repeat in my player and I laugh the whole day through! I love the stuff about what's really really gay! Thank you, Kelli, for putting this material out into the world - you're making it a better place to be in!
